A paired exhibition of ASH and LIN YUANZHE — the LINGCAGE bust series, presented as numbered works rather than merchandise.

Each piece is cast, painted, and individually numbered. Both are shown here as they would appear in the gallery — lit, labelled, and available for acquisition.

A monochrome study in armour and restraint. Cool grey polystone with hand-applied weathering, mounted on a black plinth.

The theatrical counterpart — crimson and gold over mixed media, finished with an illuminated LED base that frames the figure in low light.
ASH reads as a portrait of composure. The armour is rendered in a single cool tone, the surface left matte so that form, not finish, carries the piece. It rewards a quiet room and a single light source.
Collectors who favour restraint tend to place ASH first — it anchors a shelf and lets the brighter LIN YUANZHE do the talking beside it.
LIN YUANZHE is the opposite gesture: warm metal, crimson accents, and an LED base that turns the plinth into a small stage. Where ASH is a study, LIN is a performance.
The larger edition (999) and taller cast make it the more accessible entry — and the one most often photographed under low light.
Every bust passes through sculpture, paint, and finally a numbered plate fixed to the base — the mark that makes it part of a known edition.

Both works are released in limited editions. Leave a request and we will confirm availability against the current numbered run.
